Pros and cons of ForeFlight Checklist Pro for iPhone app for iPhone and iPad

ForeFlight Checklist Pro for iPhone app good for

I have tried a few other apps, some you have to design yourself on the web or desktop then sync onto your itouch... others cannot be modified to your specific needs... I like the idead of being able to modify directly on the itouch. I also like the user friendly interface allowing you with a quick glance to see whats done. well done software, well worth the price. Tx and fly safe!
Works great and as stated. Would love to see the option of printing lists (as backup) in future updates.
It does everything I want. I actually like the different folder levels. It helps keep things properly organized. Its nice that each level can be customized, unlike other checklist apps Ive tried. I particularly like the green completion meter for each list and the intentional skip button. My POH has a number of items that only need to be completed on the first flight of the day. It would be nice to have an update to take advantage of the larger iPhone 6 and 6+ screen sizes. An iPad version would be awesome as well. Yes, I find the app to be a bit pricey, but overall I think its worth it.
This app is great - its easy to use and is a good way to keep your checklists visible and organized. The fact that it checks off which steps youve completed and which ones you havent make it so you wont miss a checklist step - even if ATC calls out traffic or some other distraction occurs while youre performing the check. Im really looking forward to the next version with sharable checklists and an online generator.
Almost perfect. How about an option that swaps the "check" button to the right side of the screen. I like to hold my phone in my left hand and therfore its hard to press the button with my thumb. UPDATE: You flipped it! Thanks 5 stars!
Fantastic check-listing application that works great in the cockpit. The web interface provides a simple interface for creating and/or sharing checklist databases. The only feature that I wish it had was shake to check.

Some bad moments

Support does not answer. The benefit of this PRO App ist the syncing tool. But the server login always fails. The forwarding via Email also does not work. testet on 3 different iOS devices with different internet connections!
Having purchased foreflight pro, I figured this app would complement nicely. But, for 20 bucks, I believe the app community expects more effort on the developers part, hence my 2 star rating. The functionality is there although a bit heavy with the strings of "folders" you need to tap through to get to a specific phase of flight. This app falls victim to the idea that it would be used on the iPhone and so the resolution when used on an ipad retina at "2X" is pretty fuzzy (most foreflight users use iPads?!). Surprising to see this level of laziness on foreflights team. I would have paid no more than $FR.EE for this app with this limitation! Also, would be nice if it was integrated into the foreflight pro app, just makes sense! Hoping my hasty purchase will be remedied with an update soon!
maybe it’s just me, but I can’t log in to my account I’ve had for a few years, and on the website when trying to Reset password there is a “server error, please report to administrator” Well, this is me trying to report to administrator.
You should make it clear that this is for piston aircraft only - after buying the app I was shocked to not see any jet checklists!!! Not cool.
Used this app for the first time today in my SP and what a letdown. It took me years to find sunglasses that I love flying with they just so happened to be polarized. Because this app is stuck in landscape, I cant see it due to the polarization of the iPad. Unless I take off my sunglasses, this app is useless and a waste of my money. Bad planing guys!
I purchased this app because I am so pleased with the capabilities of the EFB app. Pretty disappointed that I would have to rotate the screen to use the checklist. What would I need to do in an emergency or just outside the airport traffic area? You know the answer. Take my attention from looking outside or flying the airplane to adjust the screen. For that, I could pull out the old checklist.
